I am a theoretical astrophysicist working in the field of numerical relativity and gravitational wave astronomy. In particular I am the main developer of the fully general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic (GRMHD) codes WhiskyMHD and Spritz.
I use these codes to study several astrophysical phenomena, such as gamma-ray bursts, binary neutron stars, and accretion processes on supermassive binary black hole mergers.
I am currently an associate professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy.
